Word on the Street...

We were blown away with the standard of all the tapas dishes that we tried - they were tasty, well presented and good value for money. We started off with 3 dishes but they were so good we had to try another 3. Lovely, helpful staff and very quick service.
Perfection at a very reasonable price.

We first stumbled upon this place during a live music night. Hidden in an unpretentious den of peeling brightly coloured walls and chalk, was such an explosion of talent in both the form of food and music it was mind blowing. The bright and fresh flavours created dishes teeming with passion, each plate was a peace of art itself.

The food here was amazing! The passion the chef and his partner had for food really came through! We tried the platter to start which was the perfect way to get a taste for the rest of the menu!

I had no idea this place was in Ubud. Incredible talent here. They need a bigger place as we sat there so many people were turned away. Incredible flavors in a funky and fun atmosphere.

I’ve lived in Ubud for nearly a year over the past two years and I’ve eaten everywhere... from Locavore to the most hidden warungs, but hands down LaRaMona Tapas comes in as restaurant #1 for me! The food is insanely good and the environment is eclectic, humble, hip, genuinely cool with an emphasis on music and art that carries a subversive counter-culture vibe that is seamlessly woven within the space but well balanced with their friendly attitude and killer service.

LaRamona sets itself apart from the many other above average restaurants in Ubud by serving superb and innovative cuisine in a grafitti-lined space filled with chill indie tunes. Imagine grilled tiger prawn and cold slaw tacos or aubergine kebobs with blue cheese. If that is too cutting edge for you, there’s always tender steak in a crater of roasted garlic-infused mashed potatoes. Cold beer and good enough wine by the glass completed the scene. I enthused so much to the servers that the chef came out and chatted with me about food; he clearly loves what he’s doing and the proof is in the pudding. Speaking of which, he even gave us a complementary taste of his heavenly cheesecake. I can’t wait to go back.

This has to be the best food in Ubud. Very relaxed spot with world-class food. The white Sangria was also outstanding. We found LaRamona on our second last night and ended up coming back on our last night just to try more on the menu. Well located.
